Sheffield United will look to take the positives from their narrow FA Cup quarter-final loss to Arsenal into their midweek game against Spurs, who they face at Bramall Lane tomorrow evening.

As things stand, the Blades trail Jose Mourinho's side by just one point, as the battle for European football qualification looks set to go down to the wire.

Writing his predictions column for BBC Sport, Mark Lawrenson has raised concerns over the quality of United's strikers, and backed a 2-0 victory for the visitors.

Lawro claimed: "Sheffield United are another side who have lost their cutting edge - which is something I thought would be an issue when they first came up to the Premier League.

"I thought the Blades had Championship-level strikers who would struggle to score when they made the step up. I got that spectacularly wrong for the first few months of the season because they were fantastic before the season stopped, but since then they have not looked like scoring many goals.

He continued: "They are just not creating enough chances anymore, which is a problem. Championship-quality strikers need more opportunities to score in the Premier League, and they are not getting them.

"Tottenham haven’t exactly been convincing lately either but they do have goals in their team, which is why I’m going for another Blades defeat."

The ex-Liverpool man's prediction sees him tip the Blades to lose for 18th time this season - had all his selections been correct, United would be just two points clear of the relegation zone, with Manchester City top of the league.
