Preston v Blades LIVE

Hourihane sees yellow

for a foul on Browne, the home fans want more but the ref doesn’t give in and books the on-loan Villa man

Chance for Brewster

as Stevens threads a lovely pass through, he tries to take it first time on his left foot and hits it well, probably too well and it goes over the bar

Good save Foderingham

to get up and tip Browne’s header over the bar

We’re back under way

and the Blades win an early corner through Sharp’s perseverence and it’s worked short, Ndiaye looks to curl one and Iversen is equal to it

and so far so good for the Blades, who are 2-0 up against the 10 men of Preston and should be cruising - but this is Sheffield United and so that should come with the familiar note of caution. Goals from Bogle and Sharp (pen) and the red card for Hughes the difference so far but United’s midfield, and Ollie Norwood in particular, has been exceptional so far, nullifying Johnson completely even before the goals and red card. Join us for the second half for hopefully more of the same!

to be added on here

and a red card too as Hughes walks for bringing down Brewster... the ref had a long think about it before pointing to the spot and shows the red card as well to compound things for the hosts... Sharp to take it when Hughes eventually makes his way off and... SCORES, smashing it home and sending Iversen the wrong way to make it 2-0

into the middle goes over the head of everyone in the middle and out for a Blades goal kick - the tempo has dropped since the goal of the game and United won’t mind that at all

from outside the box, we know he can hit them from that sort of range and he strikes this one well but Iversen drops on it comfortably enough in the end
