There's a derby at Bramall Lane today as Doncaster Rovers travel to Sheffield to take on United.
And Wednesday will be looking to build on a fine week in which they saw off Fulham in the league and then Newcastle in the League Cup as Carlos Carvalhal's side travel to Brentford.
Here's Chris Holt's predictions for all five of today's games...
Brentford v Sheffield Wednesday
There's definitely been a huge buzz about S6 this past week and having picked up two wins in a row, it's momentum that the Owls need now. Griffin Park isn't the easiest place to go to but the Bees aren't quite as formidable as they were last season. Three wins on the spin for Wednesday. Prediction: Brentford 1 Sheffield Wednesday 2
Birmingham v Rotherham United
The Millers finally picked up their first win of the season last week against Cardiff and they will be hoping that it's the first of many. Birmingham are just outside of the early season play off places but haven't won in their last three games and could be still smarting from a derby defeat in the cup in midweek. Steve Evans side could sneak a draw from St Andrews. Prediction: Birmingham 1 Rotherham United 1
Sheffield United v Doncaster Rovers
A decent second half display and just under a week's rest should have the Blades' spirits lifted following two straight home defeats. Now they have to push on and play more like they did in the second period at Bradford last Sunday and a lot less like they did in the first. At Rovers, this could be a crucial game for interim manager Rob Jones. He wants the job; the Rovers hierarchy want to give it to him, but he needs results to back it up. If Rovers were to win today you'd expect Jones to be offered the position permanently. I just can't see it happening/ Prediction: Sheffield United 2 Doncaster Rovers 1
Barnsley v Gillingham
Typical of this season so far for Barnsley, they followed up a fine 4-1 win over Swindon with a disappointing draw at Blackpool last week. Consistency has been the problem for Lee Johnson's side and they need to start putting a run together. A draw wouldn't be a bad result here though, given the Gills start to the campaign. Prediction: Barnsley 1 Gillingham 1
Chesterfield v Burton
Bit of a sticky patch for Dean Saunders' men and the league leaders are on their way to the Proact. Away win on the cards. Prediction: Chesterfield 1 Burton 2
