Potentially huge injury blow for Sheffield United as key man George Baldock is forced off against West Brom
Sheffield United’s injury woes continue with another of their key players being forced out of action.
Shortly after the Blades had gone 1-0 down to West Brom at Bramall Lane in their basement battle, wing back George Baldock pulled up and immediately signalled to the bench.
The 27-year-old was clutching his hamstring and after receiving treatment had to come off just before half time and was replaced by Max Lowe.
A hamstring injury would normally take 4-6 weeks to recover from, depending on how serious it is.
Jayden Bogle, who had been playing in an unfamiliar role again, on the left wing-back position, switched flanks to allow Lowe to go onto the left.
It’s another potential blow for Blades boss Chris Wilder who has seen a huge number of his squad miss stages of the season for various injuries, notably Jack O’Connell who is likely to miss the entire campaign after undergoing a knee operation.
