Sharp’s 122nd Championship goal now sets him above any other player in the second tier as the Blades recorded back-to-back wins in the league, despite losing striker Rhian Brewster to injury in the first half.
Here’s how we rated United’s players as the Blades moved back up to 11th in the table.
Saw an early effort from close range saved by Benda in the home goal, and was a constant threat with neat flashes of skill and direct running until he once again pulled up and had to go off in the second half Photo: Leila Coker
Wasn't having the greatest of games with the ball until he did what Sharp does, finding the corner with a poacher's finish and celebrating brilliantly in front of the mindless morons abusing him before the goal. A finish fit to break any record as Sharp cemented his legendary status even further. Should have made it 2-0 but Benda saved one-on-one Photo: David Klein
Gave United a first-half injury scare when he flashed a cross-shot across goal and then stayed down for treatment afterwards, departing with what looked like another hamstring issue. A big blow for the Blades. Photo: David Klein
