Pep Guardiola reveals why he is "concerned" about Sheffield United ahead of Man City clash

United face the league leaders tomorrow in their second game in Manchester in four days, after Wednesday evening's shock 2-1 victory at Manchester United.

That win wasn't enough to lift United off the bottom of the table, but boss Chris Wilder hopes it will give his side renewed belief as they look to secure their Premier League status for another season.

And Guardiola, who confirmed that Nathan Ake will miss the game against the Blades and that Sergio Aguero hasn't yet returned to training after contracting Covid-19 recently, said of United: "All I can say is what I said before the [Man United] game - a lively team.

"A team that is alive from their body language. That is not easy with the results they got and that speaks incredibly well about Chris [Wilder], his staff and the players.

"The United result speaks for itself. Everybody knows how difficult it is to win at Old Trafford - and I think the reason why they are still a team and alive is because they are together for a long time and believe.

"Sheffield United have always been uncomfortable for us. I’m a little concerned today about the game."

City did the double over United last season, but the games were not as straightforward as the scorelines suggest – a fact that Guardiola clearly hasn’t forgotten as his table-topping side prepare to face the bottom-ranked team in the division.
