'One step forward, a million steps back' - Sheffield United fans respond to team to face Leicester City

This season hasn’t been kind to Sheffield United on the injury front and just when it looked like things were starting to improve, Chris WIlder was dealt another blow.

Despite a big missed chance last week at West Brom, Lys Mousset’s return offered a lift to the goal-shy Blades but the Frenchman is unable to build on that return after it was revealed that he has ‘rolled his ankle’ in training.

That means the forward line remains to the same as the last time out for United’s clash with Leicester City, with Oli McBurnie partnering Oliver Burke up front.

The only change to the line-up sees John Lundstram replace Ollie Norwood in the middle of the park.

Fans were understandably disappointed, but many were also frustrated by seeing record signing Rhian Bewster on the bench again.

@FletchRadio posted on twitter: “One step forward a million steps back it feels with injuries this season. Not making excuses - we still need to finish the chances we have been creating. But it feels like there’s a blow before every single game at the moment. Fingers crossed for something today.”

@conarprice666 posted: “Sounds daft but if Mousse is getting injured all time can we just do some Ledley King sorta s*** n tell him to just turn up on match day instead?”

@SUFCJoe_9 wants Brewster starting: “Joke that mcburnie gets a start over him, he has been poor last few games Brewster deserves a starting chance”

@Richard_Parker added: “Cannot believe McBurnie starting again going on this season’s form. Brewster should be starting with Burke seeing as Mousset is injured yet again. No doubt we will go behind and it’ll be Burke subbed off at 60/70 mins with McBurnie left of the pitch.”

There was also come concern over the left side of the pitch, with Max Lowe getting the nod again ahead of Ben Osborn.@DobbySteve said: “Leicester will think it’s their birthday going down the right wing Osborn should be playing every week - anyway got to get behind them and in CW we trust.”
