United are eighth in the Premier League ahead of next weekend's trip to Crystal Palace, with Blades fans beginning to dream of a tilt at Europe after coming through a tough run of fixtures relatively unscathed.

United beat Brighton and West Ham before picking up a creditable point on the road at Arsenal, around their difficult games against Liverpool and Manchester City (twice).

The Blades' next six games are against teams in the bottom half of the table and Norwood, speaking after scoring in Saturday's FA Cup win at Millwall, said: "We can get better. There's so much more to come from this group... I genuinely believe that.

"You saw the performances of the lads who came into the team at Millwall, who haven't had much game time. That's testament to the work that goes on away from the lights, as the gaffer says.

"They come in they're fit and ready to slot in, and we need a squad."

Norwood has started every one of United's 24 Premier League games so far this term, but insists he can't slack off.

"As soon as you take your foot off the gas here, the gaffer is on you. He won't allow us to take a backward step and individually and as a group, we want to improve. We want to keep driving it.

"We're not going to settle for eighth in the league... we want to push it as far as we can. We know we can improve.

"It's an exciting time to be a part of Sheffield United. We all appreciate pulling on that shirt and we all give it everything we've got."
