Oli McBurnie reveals why he thinks Sheffield United have thrived in Premier League this season

Oli McBurnie believes that Sheffield United's 'unreal dressing room' spirit has played a big part in their unlikely push for an European place this season.

Fresh from promotion from the Championship last season, the Blades were widely tipped to be instantly relegated from the Premier League this season but instead have thrived.

When the league was postponed in March, Chris Wilder's men were seventh and just two points off a Champions League place, with a game in hand.

And McBurnie, in an interview with TV presenter Sioned Dafydd, admitted: "It's been unbelievable. It's an unreal dressing room. It's similar to the one at Swansea where the boys get on so well.

"We'd do anything for each other and that is one of the main parts of our success the fact that we are such a tight-knit team.

"It always gives me a smile when people tell me how well we are doing this season. As a team we were always confident that we would be able to avoid relegation.

"Everybody expected us to drop and that the bubble would burst - I don't know how many times I have heard that one - but we have just kept going and kept pushing on.

"There's no reason why we can't do something remarkable this season."

McBurnie arrived in the summer as the Blades' then-record signing, although that title has since moved into the hands of Norwegian international Sander Berge following his £22m January move from Genk.
