Oli McBurnie believes Chris Wilder is "building something special" at Sheffield United
Oli McBurnie believes Sheffield United are "building something special" at Bramall Lane under Chris Wilder ahead of Saturday's trip to Arsenal.
The Scottish international striker scored the winning goal against West Ham on Friday evening to send the Blades up to fifth in the Premier League, although they dropped to sixth - two points behind Manchester United - after the Saturday games.
On the eve of the West Ham clash it was announced that manager Wilder and his assistant, Alan Knill, have both agreed new contracts to keep them at Bramall Lane until 2024.
And McBurnie, United's £20m record signing, admitted: "People keep saying we've got the 'new Premier League team' vibes and were going to crumble soon. But we keep going and we keep proving people wrong.
"It's nice to be sat so high in the table after Christmas. We want to look up. we don't want to look down. We don't just want to be staying up. we want to be as high up the table as we can.
"I don't think a lot of people would have put us as high as we are, but it's a nice feeling and we want to stay up there.
"It's massive to know the manager and all the staff are committed to the club, just as much as we the players are. We've got a great group here and we feel we're building something special.
"The manager and the staff are a big part of that, so it's great news for everyone at the club."
