The big news is the absence of Jack O’Connell, who is set to miss much of the season as he needs a knee operation.

Jack Robinson replaces him in defence, while Ethan Ampadu, on loan from Chelsea, makes his first league start for the Blades - coming in for the suspended John Egan, who was red-carded in the Villa defeat.

Ben Osborn replaces John Fleck in midfield while David McGoldrick has been named skipper by Wilder, who will be hoping his side will be able to register their first league win of the season against Marcelo Bielsa’s newly-promoted outft.
