No relation of Harry but dreams of representing England: Who is latest Blades starlet, Frankie Maguire?

Teenage midfielder Frankie Maguire is the latest youngster to break in to Sheffield United's first team squad after being named on the bench for this evening's FA Cup tie at home to Bristol City.

The youngster, no relation to former Blades defender Harry, has been rewarded for impressive form for United's U18 and U23 side this season with some valuable first-team experience at Bramall Lane.

Born in Worksop, Maguire has been a member of United's youth academy since he was eight years old. He has started eight games and made three sub appearances for the U23s this season, scoring one goal.

He has one goal from six starts for the Blades' U18s this campaign and has been assigned squad number 35.

Maguire, who studied sport science at the UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, has said in the past: "My long-term aim is to get to the highest level that I can, play in the Premier League and, hopefully, one day, represent my country.

"My family have been mega supportive and are ensuring that I keep my feet firmly on the ground and don’t let things to go to my head!”

Maguire is the latest youngster to feature in the Blades squad, with the likes of Hassan Ayari and Zak Brunt doing likewise in recent weeks. Earlier this season, 16-year-old striker Antwoine Hackford made his Premier League debut away at Crystal Palace.
