Nigel Adkins has brushed aside concerns that Sheffield United’s start to the new League One season could be hijacked by injuries.
Jamal Campbell-Ryce joined Matt Done on the Bramall Lane casualty list after damaging a hamstring during Tuesday’s friendly at Macclesfield Town.
Done, above, who broke his collarbone earlier this week, will definitely miss next weekend’s match at Gillingham while Campbell-Ryce is a major doubt having undergone further tests yesterday.
“It’s frustrating,” Adkins said. “But it is what it is.
“We’ll keep moving forward and we’ll keep being positive because that’s what we’re like.
“We avoid complaining. We prefer to find solutions.”
Jamie Murphy and Marc McNulty are expected to feature when United complete their warm-up programme against Hull City on Sunday.
Adkins said: “They were left out (at Macclesfield) as a precaution after getting little knocks against Newcastle in the game before.
“There’s no point in taking any risks but, equally, there’s nothing to worry about there either.”
