Following Chris Wilder's shock exit last March, a host of managers have been linked with becoming his successor, including the likes of Lincoln City boss Michael Appleton, Chelsea icon John Terry, and former Celtic manager Neil Lennon.
Oostende coach Alexander Blessin has been heavily-linked with the job, and recently spoke out on the rumours via the local media, claiming: “If you do it right, there is always interest. 13. John Terry - Current odds: 10/1
Still waiting to dip his toes into management, the Chelsea icon was at one stage the second-favourite to become the next Blades boss. He's currently working as Dean Smith's assistant at Aston Villa. Photo: CATHERINE IVILL
The KV Oostende boss broke his silence over links with United yesterday, insisting he's fully focused on matters with his current club. He was the favourite, but his odds have drifted considerably since the statement. Photo: KRISTOF VAN ACCOM
Like Chris Wilder, he took a side from League One to the Premier League, and the ex-Bournemouth boss would be popular choice for the job. His odds have been slashed from 12/1 down to 4/1 overnight. Photo: IAN WALTON
The fresh favourite for the job, ex-Fulham and Watford manager Jokanovic has been heavily-linked with the role over the past couple of weeks. He secured promotion with both of his former English clubs, which is highly encouraging. Photo: Michael Steele
