Michael Cooper's Sheffield United injury situation clarified as team news confirmed v QPR
Michael Cooper has recovered from his back problem to retain his place between the posts for Sheffield United’s clash with Queens Park Rangers this afternoon. Cooper was rated as a doubt for the clash by boss Chris Wilder in his pre-match press conference.
Adam Davies, who came on for Cooper at half-time of Tuesday night’s defeat at Coventry City, was on standby to stand in for Cooper if he didn’t make it. But those fears have been allayed with Cooper named on the teamsheet against Rangers.
Femi Seriki returns to the starting line-up for Mark McGuinness while Danny Ings starts over Tom Cannon. Andre Brooks also returns in place of Chieo Ogbene while Jamie Shackleton returns to the squad on the bench.
Blades: Cooper, Tanganga, McCallum, Ings, O'Hare, Brooks, Mee, Campbell, Seriki, Peck, Riedewald. Subs: A. Davies, Cannon, Burrows, Shackleton, Soumaré, Ogbene, T. Davies, McGuinness, Oné.
