In his weekly predictions column for BBC Sport, pundit Mark Lawrenson backed a 2-0 home win for Chris Wilder's side.

Justifying his pick, Lawro claimed: "Both of these sides have lost all four of their league games, so at least one of them will get off the mark.

"I am going with Sheffield United to edge it. They deserved something from their performance against Arsenal last time out and I just think their manager, Chris Wilder, will really have them ready for this one."

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer-songwriter Rema - Lawro's sparring partner for the week - went for a 2-0 win for the visitors.

The last time the two sides met at Bramall Lane, back in 2017, the Cottagers won a 5-4 thriller, thanks largely to a hat-trick from Ryan Sessegnon.
