The Premier League champions were found to have breached financial fair play rules by UEFA's club financial control body in February. If the ban is upheld, fifth place in the Premier League will qualify for the Champions League. United are currently seventh, two points adrift of fifth place but with a game in hand.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport, which will hear the appeal, listed the case on its website.
