The Rams travel to Bramall Lane bottom of the Championship table and on minus two points, after being hit with a 12-point penalty for going into administration earlier this week.

But Wayne Rooney’s side beat Stoke last weekend, the day after news of the administration first broke, and will be looking to cause another upset this weekend to get back in the black.

Jokanovic’s men are in a good run of form themselves, despite exiting the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, and will look to build on good recent performances against Peterborough United and Hull City against the Rams.

We’ll also hear from a player ahead of the clash, which kicks off this weekend at 3pm, and we’ll bring you all the key themes right here in one place. Just hit refresh to see the latest updates as we have them...

Enda braced for tough test

Expecting a different game from cup clash?

I try and learn every day and I remember this game very well, we will check that game and every game is different. Some of the things they tried to do in the cup we will check one time more to not be surprised. We have experience of playing against them, we won the game but it wasn’t an easy game for us and we need to concentrate and focus more for this game.

SJ on Derby’s situation

Derby is a huge club, this kind of situation happened and it can be some extra motivation for the players because it’s not comfortable for them. I am sure they will show some unity and show they are a strong group, and I believe they will be mentally ready to fight to try and show they are strong. It’s not comfortable for them but I must focus on my work and be ready. We played them a few weeks ago and weren’t so comfortable, we must be ready and think about ourselves.

Enda is an experienced player, he has played a lot of years and has done decent work for the team. I expect they will fight between them and put me in a situation where I don’t know who is the better option for me. It’s competition.

He is part of the group and is a Sheffield United player, what happened is not important and he is fighting to be on the field. We know what is his characteristic and his biggest mistake is not to trust in himself. This player has some valid characteristics and if people ask why I don’t use some of them, it is my job and I must upset people around me. They must be professional and put me in more trouble. Burkey can attack very well, he has a lot of speed and we need to support and help him to find right timing and moments to find the spaces. We expect him to collaborate and be more clever on the field, and don’t switch off. He needs to be always available for the support on the field.

SJ on Adlène Guedioura

I believe some experienced people can give the younger players some important things. Some of the younger players can give the older players things they don’t have, too. I know this player well, his personality and character, and I am sure he can support the team. He played a decent game, he showed he can still give us the positive things on the field. We ae talking a champion of the continent, a player who played a lot for his national team. It’s not some guy from my family or something like this. What I know about him, he won’t stop, he will push and keep fighting for his position. If he doesn’t get there, he will push other people.

The sensation is positive, we showed signals for the progress. The team is starting to look healthy and trust in the work altogether. We are out of the competition so we are not completely satisfied, but there are a lot of positive things from the last game.

Need time to get fit?

They started today working with the group, they will need some time to be available to compete. They are working with the group that didn’t participate in the last game and I have time to make the decision.

SJ on Mousset and McGoldrick

Both have started working today with us, this is a positive news for all of us and for the players too. It’s not just about 11 guys, I need more people and more competition. They are fighting to be in the squad and be on the bench and in the starting XI. When some quality people come back, it’s always important news for us.
