Listen to Billy Sharp's hilarious Oasis-inspired welcome to Sheffield United for Sander Berge

Not very many players will join new clubs at the end of the transfer window and be greeted by their skipper serenading them.

That’s what happened to new Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge upon his arrival at the club...virtually at least.

Club captain Billy Sharp sent a whatsapp message to the club’s social media team saying “Want me to announce Sander Berge?”

What followed was a recording of Sharp singing a new song that is sure to rip round Bramall Lane very quickly.

To the tune of Oasis’ She’s Electric, Sharp sang: “He’s Norwegian, he plays for the Blades with John Egan, we’re playing in Europe next season...he’s Sander Berge.

“He’s Norwegian, Norwood and Fleck are the reason, we’re playing in Europe next season...he’s Sander Berge.”

Given he was born three years after the song came out, there’s a fair chance Berge doesn’t know the tune. He’ll soon learn.
