VIDEO: Blades winner at Scunthorpe straight off the training ground, reveals Adkins

Sheffield United boss Nigel Adkins praised the work down on the training ground as Billy Sharp scored the only goal of the game in the Blades victory over Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park.

Billy Sharp turned in Jay McEveley's corner early in the second half to give United their second win on the spin and move them up ninth in the League One table - a point off the play off positions and eight away from second placed Gillingham.

And Adkins said the goal came from a set-piece routine worked on by assistant boss Andy Crosby in training.

"Well done Andy Crosby, we work very hard on our set plays and that was off the training ground and Sharpy's gone and scored," said Adkins after the game. "That's two in two for him now, he's getting on a bit of a roll.

"Obviously coming back to Glanford Park, it was destined for Sharpy to score."
