The 19 year old was given his marching orders by referee Eddie Ilderton after tangling with the Latics’ Liam Kelly at Bramall Lane on Saturday, which has resulted in the former Ilkeston forward being given a three-match ban.
Adams will miss the crunch clash with second-placed Coventry City this Sunday, as well as a trip to his boss Nigel Adkins’ old club Scunthorpe United and what could potentially be a huge Boxing Day encounter with Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

Hide AdBut Crosby says a more experienced player would have known how to deal with the matter and that Adams will have to learn how to better cope when situations such as that arise again.
“Che was very apologetic to the rest of the players and also to the fans,” said Crosby.
“More experienced players with a little bit more knowledge, perhaps, will play the game.
“Unfortunately he’ll miss three games and will have to take his medicine.
“But we’re sure he’ll learn from what’s happened.
“We decided not to appeal because everything we watched was a little inconclusive.”
