Baldock was an important member of Chris Wilder’s promotion winning side last season, making 27 appearances as the Blades reached the Premier League.

The Star reported: “Wilder is still waiting to hear what his transfer budget for the summer will be but wants to bolster his defence could potentially sell Baldock as part of his rebuild.”

Elsewhere, Celtic have become the latest side to voice their interest in Blades target Phil Jagielka.

Sheffield United and Stoke City were reportedly keen on acquiring the defender’s services after calling time on his 12-year Everton career.

The Daily Express has now reported that Lennon is keen to bolster his defense with the signing of the veteran defender.

The Daily Mail has reported that Wilder has been given a £20m transfer budget this summer, potentially scuppering his plans on signing Brentford striker Neal Maupay.

Finally, according to France Football, Premier League newcomers Aston Villa and Sheffield United both reportedly want to raid Ligue 1 Angers for £8.5m-rated striker Stephane Bahoken.
