Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson had a game to forget for the England U21’s last night, as the young Lions crashed out of the European Championship with a dramatic 4-2 loss to Romania.

The goalkeeping starlet, who was exceptional on loan for the Blades last season, made a goalkeeping error up there with Robert Green’s infamous gaffe in the 2010 World Cup, and fumbled a Florinel Coman long-range effort in at his near post.

The 22-year-old has previously expressed a desire to start for Manchester United in the 2019/20 campaign, but he’s looking more likely to return to Bramall Lane, once a contract extension with the Red Devils is signed.

In other news, former Sheffield United striker Clayton Donaldson has expressed his delight at joining Bradford City. The veteran striker, who spent the 2017/18 season at Bramall Lane, described the move as ‘living the dream’, after fulfilling a career ambition of joining the Bantams.

Meanwhile, United have been linked with a shock swoop for former Arsenal and Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who has just been released by Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.

The 35-year-old Togolese forward is also said to be a target of Watford and West Ham United, though it is unclear whether any of the three sides mentioned will actually take an interest in signing the former Manchester City man.
