Sheffield United: Never mind the SKy Blues, says Crosby

The two sides meet at Bramall Lane on Sunday with ten places currently separating the Sky Blues and the Blades.

And in on-loan Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong, Sunday’s visitors have in their ranks League One’s highest goalscorer with the teen marksman having already found the net 13 times in 17 appearances so far this term.

However, while acknowledging the impressive start that Tony Mowbray’s side has had as the midway point in the season approaches, and the threat posed by Armstrong, Crosby and the rest of United’s management team will be at pains to ensure that the Blades perform to their best and not concern themselves with the opposition.

“It’s a big game,” admitted Rotherham-born Crosby who spent two seasons with Doncaster Rovers in the early part of his playiong career.

“Coventry have got off to a fantastic start.

“Tony (Mowbray) and Mark (Venus) have done a good job - they have taken some loan players from big clubs and have found a style of play that suits them.

“They have found a goalscorer in Armstrong and they are playing consistently well, so yes, it’s a good game.

“It’s a game where we can effect the teams above us by starting to claw back some points.

“Obviously with it being live on TV it becomes that little bit bigger.

“It will be a big crowd but we have to go out and peform and have a think about what Coventry’s strengths are but really focus on ourselves and what we can do to try and win this game of football.”
