Sheffield United midfielder Ollie Norwood says Blades didn't reach their own standards in 1-1 draw against Watford at Bramall Lane

Norwood's penalty cancelled out Gerard Deulofeu's opener for Watford, who climbed off the bottom of the Premier League table with the point in South Yorkshire.

The Hornets were indebted to their goalkeeper, Ben Foster, who made one of the saves of the season to deny John Fleck from six yards out as United sought a winner.

But Norwood admitted: “It’s a frustrating one. “We weren't at the levels we've set this year or standards and it showed.

“It’s a disappointing day but we came out of it with a point, our unbeaten run goes on and we move on.

“We know we weren't at it as players… the gaffer didn’t have to tell us. We have to be better to pick up results. We've set those standards from the start of the season since we began in the Premier League, and we knew we weren't going to dominate games as we did in the Championship because we're coming up against better players and better teams.

“We haven't achieved anything yet so we’ve got to keep working hard and grinding away and trying to reach those high standards we've set more often than not.

“Watford are a good side in the division with an experienced manager, but we’re not that fussed about other teams. We focus on us and what we do well. But we didn’t do that well enough today.”
