The Blades were involved in a thrilling encounter against Manchester United last weekend, when they were able to set the tempo against Ole Gunnar Solskaer's side at Bramall Lane, in a game that eventually finished 3-3.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of his side's match against Wolves on Sunday, Wilder acknowledged United's sensational change in fortunes over the past few seasons, and said: "The club's going through a good period at the moment, but we need to keep our feet on the ground and keep working hard towards the next game and the next result."

He went on to claim that Wolves are an inspiration in terms of the way they found a foothold in the top tier, and claimed: "It's going to be as tough as they get against Wolves who are obviously a fantastic side. It'd be fantastic to follow in their footsteps of coming out the Championship and doing well in the Premier League.

"We're in good nick but we know we've got all on to get a result against, as I said, an outstanding team and an outstanding manager.

The two clubs are currently just a point apart in the table, with Nuno Espirito Santo's side moving into fifth position ahead of United with a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth last weekend.

So far this season, the West Midlands side are showing no signs of struggling with the dual demands of both Europa League and Premier League football, but the Blades will be hopeful that their opponents’ midweek trip to Braga will leave them a little fatigued ahead of this weekend's big game.
