The Blades have been given something of a boost though, with one of Machester City’s most important players now ruled out.

City goalkeeper Ederson is suspended for the visit of Chris Wilder’s team having been sent off in the Blues’ match against Wolves.

The atch was just 12 minutes old when Diogo Jota latched onto a long ball and flicked it over the on-rushing goalkeeper, with the Brazilian bringing down the Wolves player outside the box.

Referee Martin Atkinson immediately produced the red card – a decision backed-up by VAR – the returning Sergio Aguero was sacrificed for Claudio Bravo.

It is expected that Bravo will be in goal for Sheffield United’s trip across the Pennines on Sunday.

City went in front in the 25th minute through Raheem Sterling.
