Sheffield United are no exception, with ex-Everton and Sunderland man Jack Rodwell already joining this month. Here's a rundown of all the players who have been linked with a move to Bramall Lane so far this month...

On paper, he's pretty much the archetypal Chris Wilder signing - youthful, versatile, and ready to step up to the next level. However, Spurs look to be the front-runners to seal a deal at the moment. (Photo by Alex Pantling/Getty Images)
Sheffield United may well look to land another striker in January, with Lys Mousset the only Blades forward to really impress this season. Omrani has played Europa League football this season and scored 11 times for his side. (Photo by Marco Rosi/Getty Images)

The central midfielder has also been linked with Aston Villa, Southampton and Burnley. He can also play as a defender, a quality which is likely to be of interest to the Blades.(Photo credit: PASCAL GUYOT/AFP via Getty Images)
Strange one this, considering that United don't use wingers in their formation. Still, he's been tipped by some for a move to Bramall Lane, and could always be played as a wing-back. (Photo by Ian MacNicol/Getty Images)
His side are currently pushing for a play-off place, but the powerful defender could book his ticket to the top tier early with a January move to United. Their fans would be livid, mind you! (Photo by Paul Harding/Getty Images)
Another defender who Chris Wilder is understood to be a keen admirer of, Lenihan could prove a solid back-up option for the Blades. (Photo by Lewis Storey/Getty Images)
He's been heavily linked with Leeds United for the past couple of months, but now Wilder's side are also said to be tracking the Finland international. (Photo by Mark Runnacles/Getty Images)
Quite a surname, that. He's been linked with a £35 million move to Bramall Lane, which seems a little steep, but he has been on fire in La Liga this season. (Photo by CRISTINA QUICLER/AFP via Getty Images)
The ex-England U21 international has kept his place in Everton's side since Carlo Ancelotti took the reins at Goodison Park, but he could be moved on as the ex-Chelsea boss looks to build his own squad. (Photo by PAUL ELLIS/AFP via Getty Images)
The sharp-shooter has in fine form for Brentford this season, netting 17 goals in the Championship. He could certainly do a job for the Blades, but convincing the Bees to sell could prove a difficult task. (Photo by Alex Pantling/Getty Images)
The left-back would presumably be brought in as cover for Enda Stevens. He's got five caps for Switzerland, and looks a decent player. Mind you, he only signed for Bordeaux last summer! (Photo by DAMIEN MEYER/AFP via Getty Images)
The Guinea international has some valuable Champions League experience under his belt, and his dominating midfield displays have seen him linked with the Blades. (Photo by BEN STANSALL/AFP via Getty Images)
The highly-rated midfielder was rumoured to have turned down a move to United in the summer, as he didn't think they'd stay in the top tier beyond this campaign. The Blades' start to the season should have convinced him otherwise. (Photo by Alex Pantling/Getty Images)
