Prime minister Boris Johnson last night introduced extraordinary measures designed to limit the spread of Covid-19, telling people of the United Kingdom to 'stay home' unless the need is absolutely essential.

And Sharp - who, like the rest of his United teammates, is training at home for the foreseeable future - said today: "It's day one of a three-week lockdown and hopefully that's all it's going to be.

"Make sure we stay at home, keep washing our hands, keep our social distance. Keep smiling. Keep the mind and body healthy.
