United face Manchester United tomorrow evening still looking for their first win of the season. Chris Wilder's men are bottom of the table with one point from 12 games, and are now eight points adrift of safety.

But Baldock, who played in non-league with Tamworth before a loan spell in Iceland prior to joining the Blades, is determined to do all he can to arrest the situation.

"It's helped growing up, when you're younger you tend to look at things too much," he admitted.

"Having the beginning in the career I have, playing in lower divisions and seeing what it means to people, playing for their livelihoods... that's stuck with me.

"Every game is an opportunity to put it right. You need to move on, we understand the situation we're in and are devastated with the start we've made.

"But there's no point dwelling on it, we have to move on."

Baldock recently watched the highlights of last season's game against the Red Devils at Bramall Lane, when United went 2-0 ahead and then 3-2 down before equalising in the dying minutes.

"We were front foot and aggressive and deserved something from the game," he added.

"That's something to look at and get some inspiration from, the team isn't too dissimilar from that and we have to remember we can go toe-to-toe with teams like these."
