'Huge blow' for Sheffield United as Chris Wilder reveals how long Sander Berge will be out for after "freak injury"

Berge was forced off early in the defeat to the Red Devils on Thursday night, and the blow will be more keenly felt after John Lundstram, who replaced him in the starting line-up against Brighton this afternoon, was sent off for a rash challenge on Joël Veltman and will miss United's next three games.
Wilder revealed he will not appeal Lundstram's red card, and added: "It's a huge blow with Sander being out for three months and with John being banned.
“Might give John Gannon a call and Bob Booker, and see if Tony Currie can get his boots out.
"We've got to get through that situation and chop and change and find a way to put out a competitive team.
"It's a bit of a freak injury, he went to block a ball and caught it on the end of his toe and ripped away the tendon from the bone in his toe, so that'll require surgery."
Jayden Bogle offered a potential solution, after coming off the bench to make his Premier League debut and putting the Blades ahead with a deflected shot.
"It was an eventful debut for him and I'm delighted for him,” Wilder said of Bogle.
"He's got qualities going forward, he's good in the final third and it's a tough league with the world class players at the top of the pitch, so he'll get tested more and more. But he played a part in a spirited last 50 minutes.”
