A free-scoring midfielder in the Sheffield United squad for the first time - who is Iliman Ndiaye?

Youngster Iliman Ndiaye is a surprise inclusion on today's teamsheet after being named on the Sheffield United bench against Plymouth Argyle this afternoon.

The youngster has been included in the matchday squad on the back of his impressive performances for the club's U23s this season.

Born in March 2000, Ndiaye - a skilful central midfielder who was born in Rouen, France - came through the youth ranks at Boreham Wood and was named as an U21 player in the squad United submitted to the Premier League at the start of the season.

The 20-year-old has an eye for goal from midfield and recently scored a hat-trick for United's U23s against Crewe Alexandra. He spent time on loan at Hyde United last season and has six goals in his 11 starts for United's U23 side.

Ndiaye is on the bench against Plymouth today alongside Jack Rodwell, Oli Burke and George Baldock, who is back from his recent injury.
