FA CUP THIRD-ROUND DRAW: Sheffield Wednesday face Dons; Sheffield United handed League Two away day

Have your say

CHAMPIONSHIP strugglers Sheffield Wednesday will entertain MK Dons in the third round of the FA Cup, writes Dom Howson.

The Owls, languishing in the lower echelons of the second tier of English football, have been paired with the Dons, who today defeated AFC Wimbledon in the competition thanks to a last gasp strike from former Wednesday defender Jon Otsemobor.

Sheffield United, meanwhile, head to Accrington Stanley or Oxford United in the next round of the tournament, having edged past Port Vale yesterday through two goals from Shaun Miller. Stanley boast James Beattie in their ranks while Oxford are managed by United old boy Chris Wilder.

Barnsley host Burnley while Rotherham United will travel to Aldershot Town if they beat Notts County in a replay.
