Oli McBurnie grabbed a late equaliser for Sheffield United, who were cruising for an hour but were probably happy with a point by the end of the game.

The goal was checked by VAR for a potential handball, but VAR deemed that a clear and obvious error had not been made.

Ex-Sheffield United man Kyle Walker joined former Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher on Match of the Day 2 to analyse the game.

Fletcher might have been disappointed with the late goal due to his Old Trafford connections, but he felt that VAR made the right call in allowing the goal.

“It's really hard to tell.” he said. “The news laws are crazy now about it touching your hand.

“It's not (clear and obvious) and they took a long, long time to look at it, we looked at numerous angles and couldn't fully decide.

“So, I think you have to say it's a goal and incidents like that should be given as a goal, unfortunately it's gone against Man United today but credit to Sheffield United and McBurnie.”

The Blades will be happier with their VAR experience this time around, after a David McGoldrick goal was chalked off at Spurs last time around.

Fletcher was impressed by the Blades, and felt that they were good value for their point.

“I think (Manchester) United sparked to life after a disappointing first half, but credit to Sheffield United who were fantastic today.

“To be dominating the game to then all of a sudden three goals in seven minutes and find themselves 3-2 down, but to show the character to come back and get an equalising goal which they probably deserved.”
