Everton v Sheffield United LIVE
Ramsdale saves
from Richarlison’s effort from a tight angle, it may have been hitting the side netting but Ramsdale wasn’t taking that chance and tipped it around for a corner, which is cleared
Egan rises highest
to meet Norwood’s free-kick after Fleck was fouled, but he can’t keep the ball down to trouble his former teammate Jordan Pickford
Good football from the Blades
as Ramsdale plays a nice short pass to Norwood in midfield, he feeds McGoldrick who is crudely bundled over by Allan and wins the foul
Great run from Basham
draws the foul from Allan after gaining United half the pitch in territory and giving them a bit of breathing space - brilliant
Good again from Egan
as Sigurdsson finds the run of Calvert-Lewin down the right channel, he looks to shoot but Egan matched him all the way and then slid in to block
Egan clears
as Doucoure looks to drive forward and then cross low into the box, Egan was aware enough to read it and clear
The teams are back out
and Everton have made a change at the break - Sigurdsson is on for Mason Holgate, so that’ll be a change of shape for the home side as they look to get back into this game
Half time
and the Blades deservedly lead thanks to Jebbison’s dream-like opening goal and Ramsdale’s heroics, the youngster could have had a second but for Pickford’s good save - some half-time player ratings
Ramsdale 8
Baldock 7
Basham 7
Egan 7
Robinson 7.5
Stevens 7
Norwood 7
Osborn 7.5
Fleck 7
Jebbison 8.5
McGoldrick 7
What a chance
for Everton to level on the stroke of half-time as Keane’s ball sends Richarlison free, he attempts to take it on the volley over his shoulder and he smashes it miles over Ramsdale’s crossbar - that should be that for the half
How did Everton not score there?
Ramsdale with a good stop from Richarlison’s header and then an even better one to keep out Calvert-Lewin from about three yards out - he might not have known much about it as the England man shot from close range but Ramsdale got up quickly, stood up tall and blocked it superbly
