Here’s what happened to the Blades’ class of 2001 from that game...
1. Simon Tracey
Tracey spent 15 years at Bramall Lane, after joining from Wimbledon in 1988 for just £7,500. He was part of the United side that went from the Third Division into the First in successive seasons, and remained at Bramall Lane until he retired in 2003. Photo: Craig Prentis
2. Rob Kozluk
Arrived at Bramall Lane as part of the deal that took Vas Borbokis to Derby County, and had two spells as a United player. A much-loved character in the dressing room, Kozluk could play too and was a member of the United squad that won promotion to the Premier League. 3. Keith Curle
A full England international, Curle was in the twilight of his career when he arrived at United and spent two years at the Lane before moving to Barnsley and Mansfield. 4. Shaun Murphy
Central defender Murphy made more than 150 appearances for the club, during which time he shot to fame on the international stage by scoring the only goal for Australia in a 1-0 win over mighty Brazil in the Confederations Cup third place play-off match in 2001.
