How many took it? Our man Danny Hall runs the rule over the players handed a start.

Ben Osborn

I gave Osborn my man of the match after a performance which was full of not only quality but endeavour too. His cross for the opening goal was a peach before he made a lung-busting 60-yard run to intercept the ball and then chase it down.

The midfielder tried to get on the ball and make things happen, but probably didn't quite do enough to win him his place back over Sander Berge. His range of passing was as good as ever, on both feet, and took responsibility on corners in Ollie Norwood's absence.

Luke Freeman

Ran Osborn close as my man of the match, especially after having a hand in both goals - including a superb drive into the box and cross for Sharp. Looked desperate to impress - including when he lunged into one tackle.

David McGoldrick

Scored within two minutes of his comeback, which any striker will dream of doing, and got off the mark for the season. One flick, to set McBurnie free, was a joy to watch but he took the wrong option with a Cryuff turn into trouble when Osborn was breaking free.

Lys Mousset

Not a game to remember for the Frenchman, who failed to grasp his opportunity. Tried to shoot too many times when passing would have been a better option.
