David De Gea's Manchester United admission could be good news for Sheffield United in Dean Henderson chase

Sheffield United's hopes of retaining the services of loan goalkeeper Dean Henderson may have received a timely boost after David De Gea, the No.1 at Manchester United, revealed he hopes to stay at Old Trafford for 'many more years'.

Henderson, who has been one of the stars of the Blades' season so far, has set his sights on becoming the first-choice for his parent club and England.

But United hope to secure his services for another season, most likely on loan, and De Gea's admission could boost their chances.

The Spaniard signed a eye-watering long-term deal at Old Trafford recently, and told the club website: "Yeah, I'm getting older. Just to be a part of this club is amazing.

"So imagine, to be nearly 10 years, it's like a dream. It's great to play games with this club, so I hope I can be here more years, many years."
