United’s visits to Aston Villa, Newcastle and Manchester United, which are scheduled to take place on June 17, 21 and 24 respectively, have been selected by the broadcaster - together with Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Bramall Lane on July 2 (6pm).

The fixtures against Newcastle and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are being shown on the company’s new ‘free to air’ platform called ‘Pick’.

United were seventh in the table when the season was mothballed in March because of the Covid-19 pandemic - only five points outside the Champions League qualification positions having played a match less than fourth-placed Chelsea. Spurs are eighth and Manchester United are fifth.

Barring any changes to the health situation nationwide, the meeting with Villa - which kicks-off at 6pm - will be the first contested staged in England since competition was suspended three months ago.

United’s clash with Newcastle is set to start at 2pm, while the contest in Manchester is earmarked for a 6pm kick-off. That could yet take place at a neutral venue, although Greater Manchester Police told The Star last weekend that they would be happy for it to be staged at Old Trafford if the local Safety Advisory Group is satisfied certain concerns it has raised can be addressed.

Further dates and broadcast details will be announced in due course, as United also prepare for their forthcoming FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal.
