Manager Chris Wilder hasn’t got a great deal to with work with in terms of mixing up the team, with the Blades suffering from quite a number of knocks throughout the squad.

So it comes as no surprise to see a strong line-up take to the field at the Lane for the tie against Ryan Lowe’s men.

In fact, there are only two changes to the side that lost to Tottenham in the Premier League last week and they both come up front.

Billy Sharp makes a rare start and he is partnered by Rhian Brewster who has been on the bench for the past few games.

The defence and midfield remains the same, even though there could have been the possibility that John Egan, who will miss the midweek match against Manchester United through suspension, would be rested to allow Wilder to give a run out to whomever wil replace the Irishman for that game.

Egan goes in alongside Ethan Ampadu and Chris Basham, with Aaron Ramsdale behind them in goal.

The midfield trio of John Lundstram, Ollie Norwood and John Fleck maintain their place.

On the bench are Wes Foderingham, Kean Bryan, Max Lowe, David McGoldrick, Oli Burke, youngster Iliman Ndiaye, Phil Jagielka and Jack Rodwell.

Plymouth are currently 11th in the League One table, six points off the Play-Off places.

The winners of the tie will earn a home match against either Millwall or Bristol City.
