Pointing to the condensed and disrupted pre-season schedule for clubs caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Wilder will make a number of changes for the clash with Sean Dyche's men ahead of Monday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Ethan Ampadu, who signed on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea recently, will also make his Blades debut at Turf Moor as Wilder's men look to bounce back from Monday night's defeat to Wolves.

"We're undergoing a strange pre-season where the difference in minutes between the players is off the scale," Wilder said.

"Some of the lads have played four our five games in pre-season and others have only played the odd one here or there.

"One of the things I was delighted with on Monday was the energy levels, they went right to the end.

"But there will be changes.

"Oli will start, Jayden and Max will start and some of the boys who weren't involved on Monday will make their first starts of the season on Thursday."

Wilder spoke again about Lys Mousset's injury, after the striker underwent surgery on a rare ligament injury under his toe.

"He's a young man who had a few personal issues which we sorted out with him," Wilder said.

"He was in good nick and in a good place, so it's disappointing to lose him but everyone has these issues. Hopefully he'll come back and add something to the group."
