Graham Potter’s reaction

I thought we were the better team but the red card changes the complexion of the game, it becomes defence v attack and we got caught on the break. The longer it goes, you think it can be a disappointing afternoon for us.

It's part and parcel of the job and the majority of the subs I've made haven't been very good! It was to try and help the team, it was a difficult first part of the game and we needed to be proactive and do something, which we did. A little bit more pace and we got a foothold in the game. We turned it over pretty quickly with the sending off. With Jayden, Solly March was causing us problems and he gave us more protection, and he has the qualities to go and join in the other way. It was an eventful debut for him and I'm delighted for him.

Chris Wilder’s post-match reaction

When you get that close it's disappointing not to see the game out but it was going to be a long afternoon being down to 10 men for 50-odd minutes. We showed ambition to get the first goal but we're disappointed with the equaliser, and then it was a long seven minutes to see it out. But we managed to and it's a small step for us. We were competitive today.

Roy Keane on Burke miss at 1-0

“Burke has got to hit the target. He needs a bit of composure”

Danny Welbeck disappointed

The Brighton forward told Sky Sports: “We needed to get the three points and we're disappointed we didn't get them. We've got to put the ball in the net to get the result. They broke away to get the goal, it was a good finish but we know we have to do better and finish the game off.”

And that’s that. It’s a point for the 10-man Blades. Reaction from Wilder to come

Brighton hit the posta and Baldock clears as it bounces around in the box. Unbelieveable

… and we’re in them
