Blades v Saints LIVE from the Lane

Ward-Prowse up first for Saints... SCORES

and it’s penalties to decide who will go into the next round - an entertaining 90 minutes, that, with the Blades pushing right til the end to find a late winner and also riding their luck at times, too

Chance at the death for the Blades

as Norwood’s brilliant pass finds Osborn on the left in acres of space, his cross is too high for Fleck in the middle but falls to Brewster at the back post, but he can’t get it under control

FOUR minutes of added

time at the end of this game as Robinson and Guerdioura combine to block a shot at the expense of a corner, which the Blades eventually scramble clear

to a winner for the Saints as they take advantage of a slip from Robinson and break down the right, it’s smashed across goal and Adams is inches away from getting a touch on it as we tick towards the 90-minute mark here at the Lane

What a save that is

from Foderingham, as former Blade Adams looks for all the world as if he was going to score from Perraud’s superb cross - Adams is a few yards out and stabs it goalwards, but Foderingham somehow got across to claw it out from close range. Superb stuff

with United on the attack after Perraud went down after an off-the-ball incident with McBurnie - the Blades striker looks nonplussed but the Saints man at least looked in some pain - he’ll be okay to continue though, I’m sure

sees Iliman Ndiaye replaced by John Fleck, the youngster did look to be suffering with a touch of cramp just before he went off so no big surprise - maybe thought Sharp may replace him in a like-for-like change but not the case

A first goal since December 2020 for this man

as Norwood’s excellent cross is flicked on by a Saints head and Basham at the back post can’t react in time, in fairness it was moving very quickly towards him
