Blades v Birmingham live from Bramall Lane
Shouts for a penalty
as Fleck’s well-struck shot cannons off Gardner’s arm, replays show it hit him around the elbow area and Bramall Lane goes ballistic in pursuit of a penalty - no VAR of course and the referee waves away the appeals...
Almost an opening for Burke
as Osborn’s through-ball dissects the Blues defence, but the striker isn’t quick enough to get on the end of it
What a chance
for Hogan as he has the freedom of Bramall Lane to knock home the ball after Jutciewicz won the header, but he somehow flicks it over the United crossbar and can’t work out how he did it either, pulling his shirt over his head
Blues have the ball in the net
but it’s ruled out for a blatant push in the back on Robinson, I think it was - the away end went crazy but the ref had already spotted the infringement and it stays at 0-1 for now
Just wide from
McGoldrick as he takes it on himself to try and make something happen, he shapes the chance and looks to find the far corner with a curling effort but it doesn’t curl enough and flies just wide of Sarkic’s left hand post
Big chance for
the Blues to make it 2-0 as Bela’s teasing cross was met by Jutciewicz, he wins the header but can’t get it on target and somehow plants it wide of Ramsdale’s goal - a big let off for the Blades
Brewster bursts clear
down the left channel and seemed to be in two minds whether to pass or shoot, his touch is a little too heavy and it’s cleared to safety
Almighty roar for Brewster
as he makes his way on to replace Mousset, Birmingham then go close at the other end to doubling their lead but Chong can’t keep his shot down
Mousset’s race is run
as he pulls up after stretching to get on the end of Burke’s cross, he signals to the bench immediately that he can’t continue and walks gingerly off the pitch - Brewster comes on to replace him
