Billy Sharp named in EFL Team of the Decade - but which former Sheffield United ace joins him?

Billy Sharp has been voted into the EFL’s Team of the Decade by supporters, alongside a former Sheffield United player.

Sharp and Academy product Harry Maguire were both named in the side following voting which the league says involved 60,000 respondents.

Though he started his career at Bramall Lane, Sharp's main contribution for his boyhood club came towards the end of the decade, in his third spell.

After returning to United in the summer of 2015, Sharp netted 87 goals in 164 league appearances, ultimately helping United out of League One and into the top flight.

Over the decade he had spells with Doncaster Rovers, Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and Reading.

Overall, Sharp made 342 appearances, scoring 147 goals in league action in the EFL during the 2010s. During the decade he won promotion from the Championship twice, with Southampton and famously with the Blades earlier this year.

Sheffield-born Maguire made 166 appearances for the Blades after breaking into the side. He was sold to Hull City for £2.5m, with whom he won the Championship play-off final against Sheffield Wednesday in 2016.
