But despite the Blades’ league form post-lockdown, there have been some star performers for Chris Wilder’s men – and we’ve whittled down a three-man shortlist for the United fans’ player of 2020, to the three Bs – Chris Basham, George Baldock and Sander Berge.

The Norwegian Berge has enjoyed a good start to his United career since signing last January for what was then a club-record fee, and was arguably United’s best player this season until his recent injury.

Club stalwart Basham has taken to the Premier League incredibly well and is rarely found wanting, whether in defence or midfield. And Baldock has earned another new deal recently with his consistent, passionate displays in the right wingback position.
