The Blades are now winless in their first eight games and sit bottom of the Premier League table after tonight’s defeat against Frank Lampard’s side in West London.

Goals from Ben Chilwell, Tammy Abraham, Thiago Silva and Timo Werner eventually saw off Chris Wilder’s men, who went in front in the ninth minute through David McGoldrick’s strike.

@Jameseo23 Agree we would never get anything out of Liverpool, City or Chelsea, but calls for perspective seem to miss the fact we had Villa, Leeds and Fulham before that and got a point. That's why we're bottom and low on confidence. #twitterblades #sufc

@DavidMckenzie89 Ah well Blades, on to the next. On the plus side we will soon have Fleck and Mousset knocking on the door. #sufc #twitterblades

@ryanhall10 Must keep Wilder no matter what happens this season. #sufc #twitterblades

@JohnJrev As we keep hearing money was tight in the summer, so why spend £20m on a keeper in the first place. Not critical of Ramsdale, just the decision to sign him and then have no money to replace or have cover for O’Connell?!

@ibanezshaun We started well but seemed to lose our way. O'Connell is a massive loss but we should have Moose and Fleck back for the next game.

This month was always going to be tough. Let's draw a line and move forward. 30 games left and worse teams than us.

@NxthxnSUFC You know it's bad when you've spent 60 million on strikers and your best striker is David McGoldrick #sufc #twitterblades

@PavlovLore Another international break looms. We have to regroup, reassess and take a look at why we're rock bottom and work to fix that. Right now, I don't fancy us to get a point against any team in this division. #SUFC #TwitterBlades

@tyronej1984 I suppose the next few games will give us a better opportunity to show what we’re about, but going into them with our confidence in pieces isn’t ideal. #twitterblades #SUFC

@Matt_Gregory97 Enda Stevens needs dropping #sufc #twitterblades

@daniel__burgin Too many Blades on here slating the team. They need all the support they can get behind closed doors. Back the lads, back Wilder. International Break now, can draw a line and go again. 30 games still to play, we aren’t done just yet #sufc #twitterblades

@TimGabbitas This shows how shallow our squad strength is. A few absences and we crumble. What’s happened to Norwood?! Gone off a cliff - he was our conductor last year. Egan needs waking up too! Need to stumble through to January then introduce some creativity! #sufc #twitterblades
