Shearer is a regular pundit on Match of the Day, where Sheffield United have been earning plaudits for their early performances.

The Blades sit in a lofty 5th place after almost a third of the season gone, and remain undefeated away from home.

Top all-time Premier League goalscorer Shearer has been impressed with the way the Blades have gone about their business, and he has featured a number of Blades in his ‘team of the season so far’.

The back line of the team is bolstered with keeper Dean Henderson and defender John Egan, and Shearer has even selected Chris Wilder as the manager.

Only Liverpool have more selections than the Blades, who are defying pundits that predicted they would struggle in the top-flight.

Wilder’s men face Manchester United at Bramall Lane next, where they will be hoping to pull off another victory against a so-called ‘big six’ team in front of the Sky cameras.
