The 47-year-old said: "It's very difficult to compare (their case) to Sheffield United...they're a freak! How many teams have come up as they have come up and performed? (so well)"
"Let's get it right, we all had them down for relegation at the start of the season. They're now on the brink of Champions League football - that is unbelievable.”

With Manchester City banned from European football for the next two seasons following a breach of Uefa's financial fair play rules - their appeal in pending - United could qualify for the Champions League with a fifth placed finish.
As things stand, the Blades are seventh in the table, with just two points separating them from Manchester United in fifth. The two sides will meet at Old Trafford before the season concludes.
