'4-6 weeks out' - Sheffield United dealt a massive injury blow

Chris Wilder expects Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck to miss "four to six weeks" after injuring his back while on international duty with Scotland.

Fleck was withdrawn during Scotland's game against Slovakia, missing the victory over the Czech Republic as a result.

The Scot was a notable absentee from the Blades squad that drew with Fulham this afternoon, with John Lundstram instead lining up on the left of United's three-man midfield.

And Wilder revealed afterwards that United had suffered another "unfortunate" injury.

"John was down to play," the United boss said.

"We had a chat after the Arsenal game [before the international break] and he was pencilled into play, and then he went up the road with Scotland and fell on about the only part of his back that would have caused the injury.

"Four to six weeks without John is another blow we have to take on the chin."
